Easter

Happy Easter or Happy Spring everyone! I taught this card at a senior center Easter card class this month. It was a bit difficult for some of the attendees since it uses the marker direct to rubber technique and requires some eye hand coordination. It also uses Technique Junkies Dabbed Shimmers technique from the Feb newsletter. I love this technique since it makes each card individual. Some of the attendees have difficulty with the idea that each card doesn't have to look exactly like my sample but all were pretty happy with their finished card. Card is all Stampin' Up. Colors are: Pixie Pink, Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Orchid Opulence, Only Orange, & Glorious Green. Punch: Border Scallop Trim and Corner Rounder. Other: Iridescent Watercolor Medium and cosmetic sponge.

Manhattan Flower

This is an easy but I think elegant card I taught at a retirement center. It's all Stampin' Up. Card Stock: Summer Sun and Elegant Eggplant, Stampin Pad: Elegant Eggplant, Embossing Folder: Manhattan Flower, Stamp Set: On Your Birthday, Other: Big Shot & Corner Rounder Punch.

Asian Artistry birthday card

I haven't posted in a very long time so want to try to get back on track. I did a Stampin' Up class at an independent living facility yesterday. Only one lady attended but she had fun making 3 cards. Several ladies stopped after the class to see what we had done and said they would come next time. They weren't sure what the class was about evidently. I left one of the cards to be posted with the information for the next class and gave one to a lady who had already showed it to several other ladies before I left. My cousin Barb helped with the class and will come again next time. Hopefully we'll have a good response next time and we'll both be very busy helping the attendees. This is a new adventure at the independent living facility and for me also since the residents here need more help than my attendees at the senior center. This card was a little difficult for a senior citizen first time stamper so I'm checking out easier cards for next time.
